Softball Pride had a great run

Not sure if you all heard or not, but the Majors Softball team ISP Pride, lost their game last Thursday to Sunnyside LL (AZ) 0-1 at the Regional Tournament Semi-Finals. The championship game is played tonight, Friday at 6pm between Granada Hills LL of SoCA (5-0) and Sunnyside LL of AZ (4-1). The winner of this game will advance to the World Series held here in Portland at Alpenrose.

The Pride battled hard and didn't let too much from the other team go past, but they just couldn't get their runs in. It was a fast paced game and everyone was connecting but it just couldn't get the job done. They were strong and held the other team and gave them a run for their money!

Powell LL hasn't had this much excitement around our All-Star teams (Honors teams, 50/70 BB, Juniors SB, Majors SB, 10/11 BB, 9/10 BB) in quite a few years. Thank you all for supporting these kids and cheering them on! We know we keep building!

Thank you to Kitty Powell, Elena Mejia, BEAR PAW INN, BROOKLYN PARK PUB and the Sharpe-Serchuk family for joining Powell LL and contributing to the "All Star Travel Fund." This fund was able to help cover the expenses the team incurred that Little League International didn't cover such as luggage fees for the team's equipment, transportation for the team once in CA, food that wasn't included in their room & board on non-game days to name a few. This fund will also help cover similar expenses the other All-Star teams who advanced to State and Regionals incurred. Thank you again for your support!
