Calling all Powell Little League members! Come to
the Fall General Meeting to prepare for the spring season, including
electing new officers. We have several vacant positions (see below for details) on the Powell Little League board and we'll need new volunteers to ensure a successful 2013 season.
The meeting is Wednesday,
November 7th at 6:30pm at the Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church
at 2828 SE Stephens St., 97214 between Hawthorne & Harrison.

The membership will nominate
and elect new officers at this meeting, so now is your chance to get
involved! Powell Little League is a 100% volunteer organization and we rely on the support of parents and the community.
The open board positions are-
Safety Officer: Help with the background check process and works with coaches to ensure a safe playing environment.
President: Head of the board and is involved in all aspects of organizing the league.
Fundraising/Sponsorship Coordinator: Solicits sponsorships from the local businesses and community members.
Uniform Manager: Helps inventory existing uniforms and order/design new uniforms as needed.
Umpire in Chief: Organizes the umpire schedule and informs the league of rule changes.
Coaching Coordinator: Ensures we have enough coaches to cover the number of enrolled players and facilitates communication between coaches.
Field maintenance: Communicates with Portland Parks around field maintenance issues.
Equipment Managee: Inventories and orders new equipment.
Division Reps: Softball, Majors Baseball, Minors Baseball, Farm Ball, Tball. Division reps represent their division to the board.
