We held our annual game under the lights last weekend and were treated to an outstanding game of baseball that was well attended by our community and sponsors.

The Eagles went up in the first 1-0, but then the Wookies scored 5 in their first at bat. They scored another 5 the next inning and were up 10-1 as the third inning began. Pitching and defense were strong for the remainder of the game for the Eagles, keeping the Wookies scoreless. A solid offensive rally for the Eagles put three more runs on the board, but the Wookies shut it down in the top of the 5th to win the game and the championship, 10-4.
The 3rd place game was held the previous evening between the Nightmares and the Green Goblins and turned out to be a quite nail-biter. The Goblins led for most of the game but a rally in the top of the 5th put the Nightmares up 8-5. The Goblins responded by scoring two runs in the bottom of the inning and trailed by one with the bases loaded, but determined pitching from the Nightmares delivered a big-time strike out with a full count for the final out of the game. Nightmares win 3rd place, 8-7.
